Storage Building, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Flushing, NY
[ TOP ]
New York-Presbyterian Hospital came to MSS seeking a storage solution for a small courtyard in the center of a large building in Queens. Since the courtyard was surrounded on all sides with glass, there was very limited access to the site. MSS provided a panelized steel building that was able to be carried in sections through a narrow access alley and erected inside the courtyard. Due to the unique application and the location of this building the structure was designed to incorporate high snow loads and a strong steel floor system.
Specifications:
- Panelized building system
- 180 lbs. per sq. ft. roof load for snow drift
- Erected in very tight quarters
- Strong raised steel floor system for water drainage and heavy storage capabilities
